The monthly package
- Profit and loss with prior period and budget comparison
- Balance sheet with reconciled supporting schedules
- Statement of cash flows
- AR and AP aging with collection commentary
- Departmental, location or product-level P&L where the business is segmented
- A written narrative on what moved and what it means
The narrative is the part most providers skip and the part owners actually read. Numbers without interpretation shift the analytical work onto the person least equipped to do it.
Dashboards and KPIs
We build a small number of metrics that genuinely drive the business and put them somewhere you will look. For a distribution business that might be gross margin by SKU and inventory turns. For a professional services firm it is utilisation, realisation and revenue per employee. For e-commerce it is contribution margin after ad spend and fulfilment.
Fewer metrics, updated reliably, beat a wall of charts refreshed once a quarter.
Budgeting and rolling forecasts
An annual budget built bottom up in the fourth quarter, reforecast every quarter against actuals. Variance analysis that names the driver rather than restating the difference. Scenario modelling when a hire, a lease or a capital purchase is on the table.
Audit and diligence readiness
If a lender, acquirer or investor is likely to look at your numbers in the next two years, the time to tidy the ledger is now. Clean reconciliations, documented policies, and a defensible revenue recognition approach turn a painful diligence process into a routine one, and they protect valuation.
Frequently asked questions
How fast do we get the monthly package?
By the tenth business day after month end. Faster closes are possible where the transaction volume and the systems support it.
Can you report by location or product line?
Yes, provided the chart of accounts and the coding discipline support it. If they do not, restructuring the chart is usually the first piece of work.
Do you build the dashboards in our BI tool?
We work in whatever you already use, and where there is nothing in place we build in a lightweight tool connected to the ledger rather than selling a platform implementation.
